Secretary’s Report: Minutes from May were read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report: The treasurer submitted a written report of Income/Expenses. Income was $22,144.13. Expenses were $28,377.88, creating a deficit of -$6,233.75. The treasurer explained that there was a large payout for Soberfest and the AAIG Convention, and income from these 2 activities has not yet occurred. The report was approved as submitted.

Vice-Chair’s Report: No report.

Chair’s Report: The chairperson reported that there should be 200+ IGRs, but there is very little attendance at the IGR meetings. He stated the importance of getting information out to more people about what the AAIG/IGRs do, so that attendance can increase.

Desk Coordinator: People can check about Red House openings online. There is a need for coverage for the desk shifts, due to vacations.

Activities: The Activities Committee Chair reported that Soberfest Committees are formed. There was a $2500 payment/deposit put out. The picnic was a success, the advance money was used up. Soberfest tickets are now available at $10 each. There will be music, food, kid’s activities, and great fellowship. The committee for the January Convention meets the 3rd Sunday of the month at the Sheraton. There will be 500 tickets available.

Bulletin: As a reminder, the submission for the bulletin is the 18th of the month.

Treatment and Correctional Facilities: The committee chair reported that meetings at Jennifer Rd. are doing well. There is help needed at the Light House in Annapolis. Hope House has openings: Mondays at 8:30 pm, Sundays at 4 pm, and Tuesdays at 8:30 pm. Would like to see more Home Groups take a commitment for these meetings.

Outreach: The Outreach Committee chair has stepped down, and a new person for this committee is needed.

PI/CPC: The PI/CPC chair submitted a written proposal for moving the management and production of the play from District 31 to the PI/CPC committee of the AAIG. The play has been a success for the fellowship, but District 31 does not have the resources to support the play with wider audiences. The request was to amend the 2011 AAIG budget to increase the PI/CPC budget by $2,800, to fund the expenses associated with the management and production of the play. The play can have more than one cast to allow more performances. The Activities chair stated the proposal should be put in the 2012 budget, and has to go through other groups. He stated that this proposal be put in the August, September bulletin, and voted on it in September.

Website: A written report was submitted. The website is updated as quickly as items are received for posting. At the request of the Intergroup Council, the minutes are now posted on the website. The webmaster has worked with the Activities Committee in researching event marketing products and Constant Contact has been selected for the Soberfest event.

Old Business: None.

New Business: The MGS Intergroup Liaison stated that the next Intergroup Conference Call is on Tuesday July 26th at 6:30 pm. On July 23rd, there is a workshop on “Working with A.A. Websites”. District 22 reported that the monthly 12 Traditions meeting has a low attendance and suggested partnering with the AAIG in order to boost attendance.

Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m. with the Serenity Prayer.
