Split shifts are shared by 2 volunteers, alternating every other week.
Desk Committee
The Desk Committee provides several important functions for the Intergroup in reaching out to the still suffering alcoholic and their family. They are:
- Phone Desk volunteers
- Phone desk volunteers (answers phone for 2-hour weekly position)
- Substitute phone volunteers (fills in when needed for a 2- hour shift)
- 12th step list (have your name on the list to be called when needed)
- Rollover Phone
- Provides telephone access to the Intergroup after normal office hours
- Offers telephone access during normal office hours when the standard line is busy with another call
- 12th Step List - provides a list of volunteers willing to reach out to those still in need of help who call the Annapolis A.A. line looking for assistance with their problem
